Every child is born curious. Most classrooms are not built for that.
For 35 years, Dr. S. Rekha Reddy has seen what happens when children are given the freedom to learn through Montessori. Across classrooms, teacher training programmes, books, and learning materials, the results were consistent: children became more independent, engaged, and capable when learning was built around how they naturally develop.
Then the world changed.
COVID left many children disconnected from learning and struggling to re-engage. At the same time, NEP 2020 called for a shift toward active, child-centred education. Schools were being asked to transform learning, but most had never been shown how. The gap between expectation and reality had never been wider.
MontShala was built to bridge that gap. To take decades of Montessori practice, research, and innovation and make it accessible to every school, teacher, and child through technology, Indian languages, and practical implementation support.
Because meaningful learning should not depend on which school a child happens to attend.
"I kept seeing the same challenge across classrooms: children struggling to focus, engage, and learn independently. Montessori offered the answer. MontShala was built to make that answer accessible to more schools, teachers, and children."Dr. S. Rekha Reddy, Founder, MontShala
Vision
Not just to premium schools. Not just in big cities. Every child deserves an education that respects how they actually learn.
Mission
Through Montessori — one classroom, one teacher, one school at a time.
Values
Every decision starts with what is best for the child. Not the timetable, not the syllabus, not convenience — the child.
We grow alongside the schools we work with. Their progress is our progress.
We do what we say, and stay until it works. No one-day workshops and goodbye emails.
